With a synthetic grass lawn, you eliminate the need to mow, fertilize, water, pick weeds or use pesticides on your year round green grass.
A lot of areas are also offering rebates to replace your natural grass - check with your local water authorities. Can my dog tear it up? If your dog tears up your natural turf and loves to dig, there is always a possibility they will tear up any turf you put down.
How do I clean up after my dog? As you would on natural turf. Pick up the droppings and wash the blades off. What will I need to buy in addition to the turf? We recommend a sub-base material such as crushed granite no larger than 1/4-inch, infill and possibly extra spikes if necessary.
What is infill and do I need infill put in my synthetic turf? Infill is usually a silica sand or rubber material you put in between the blades of the turf - usually about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch - to help the blades stand up, help provide a cushion effect, protect your turf and help lessen temperatures in the summer time. You don't have to use infill, but we highly recommend it to help your turf look the most natural and to get the most out of your turf. It will also help weeds from growing in between your blades. Are there different types of infill and which one should I use? Never use river sand as an infill.
